~ A Brief History ~

Noah Stewart is one of today's most distinctive operatic tenors, celebrated for the warmth of his voice, commanding stage presence, and deeply expressive performances. Equally at home in opera, concert, and crossover settings, he has captivated audiences at many of the world's most celebrated theatres, concert halls, and festivals, earning international recognition for both his artistry and his ability to connect with audiences farbeyond the traditional opera world.

Raised in Harlem, New York, Stewart discovered music at the Harlem School of the Arts, where a teacher recognized an extraordinary gift and encouraged him to pursue singing. After early television work on Sesame Street and success at the New England Music Competition, he continued his studies at The Juilliard School, beginning a journey that would take him from New York to the world's great musical capitals.

His debut recording for Decca became an international success, reaching No. 1 on the UK Classical Chart for seven consecutive weeks and earning two Classical BRIT Awardnominations. Since then, Stewart has collaborated with many of the most respectedmusicians of our time, including Lorin Maazel, John Adams, Charles Dutoit, GiulianoCarella, Daniele Rustioni, and Joana Carneiro.

His operatic career has brought him to many of the world's leading stages, including theRoyal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Bregenzer Festspiele, the Bolshoi Theatre, Teatro Real Madrid, English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera Holland Park, Northern Ireland Opera, and companies throughout Europe and North America. Hisrepertoire encompasses many of opera's most beloved leading roles, including Rodolfoin La Bohème, Don José in Carmen, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Faust, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, and Alfredo in La Traviata.

Stewart has also forged a meaningful artistic connection with Spain through appearances at the Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Mérida, where he performed in Samson et Dalila and Medea, both directed by the acclaimed Spanishdirector Paco Azorín. These productions reflected his passion for projects that bringtogether opera, theatre, and powerful storytelling.

As a concert artist, Stewart has appeared with renowned ensembles including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna RadioSymphony Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's. He has been featured in three BBC Proms concerts and was named a BBC Music Ambassador, bringing classical music to audiences around the world.

Today, Stewart is entering an exciting new artistic chapter as his voice naturally evolves into the Italian and French lyric-spinto repertoire. Recent and forthcoming engagementsinclude Don José in Carmen with Northern Ireland Opera and appearances alongside Sir Bryn Terfel and Natalya Romaniw at the 80th Anniversary Gala of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
